Areakill

This little freeware program, created by well-known European flight-sim enthusiast Enrico Schiratti, is designed to solve the problem of interference between two scenery files that provide descriptions for the same area.

Both commercial and non-commercial scenery can cause problems with double objects if scenery elements or navaids are defined more than once. Areakill makes it easy to modify a scenery file so it doesn't interfere with, say, a smaller scenery file covering part of the same area. You can specify a specific lat/long range, or you can nominate a spot by its lat/long coordinates and specify a desired radius. You name the file you want to alter, and which scenery elements you want to kill.

Included is a ready-made "kill" file that will alter the EURBGL European scenery so it won't conflict with the commercial EUR1 scenery.

Caution: Be sure to make backup copies of any scenery you intend to alter, so you can restore the original if you want to. To solve conflicts without actually altering files, you may want to consider using Scutil, or the "exclude" features built into both Airport and ScBuild.
