Winners of the World Wide Freeware Scenery Survey

LAGO SNC, of Como, Italy, donated two copies of their brand-new commercial FS5 add-on package, Schiratti Commander, as prizes in the survey.

One copy went to Juan Cabeza, creator of the pioneering Balearic Islands scenery.

Congratulations, Juan! Now, give us more fine work like those Mediterranean gems!

The other copy was won by Dan Barnes of the USA, a member of the Flight-Sim mailing list, whose name was drawn at random from the names of everyone who submitted nominations. Dan generously passed his prize on to Justin Tyme, a new member of the mailing list whose determination to create scenery using less user-friendly methods had sent him scurrying regularly to the mailing list for help.

Nice gesture, Dan, and Justin, we'll look forward to seeing some Pennsylvania scenery!

Schiratti Commander is a multi-purpose FS5 add-on which includes Scenery Maker, which LAGO describes as "an effective and revolutionary scenery compiler" that is "very easy to use."

Schiratti Commander also displays and prints maps of any installed scenery file; creates and prints route plans; displays and prints vertical and horizontal flight profiles; selects startup flight locations simply by a click on a map; and provides a multiplayer option in which one player can serve as an air traffic controller.
