MAIN AC BUSES
メイン AC バス
The Left and Right Main AC Buses are the
main source of electrical power for a majority
of aircraft systems.
左と右のメイン AC バスは飛行機のシステムの大多数の電力のメイン供給源です
They can only be powered from the APU, Engine
Generator or External Power.

Battery power cannot power the Main AC Buses.

In normal operations the Left generator supplies
power to the Left AC Bus and the right generator
supplies power to the Right AC Bus.

A loss of one generator would cause the BUS
TIE relays to close allowing one generator
to power both AC buses.

Selection of APU power in this case would
be handled automatically to re-isolate the
buses to use independent power sources.

The Left Main AC Bus is the power source
for the following:

As you can see, keeping power to the Left
Main AC Bus is of critical importance.

The Right Main AC bus powers the remaining
systems with the exception of the standby
flight instruments.

We already mentioned the Standby Bus.

As long as the Standby Power selector is
in AUTO, power is automatically supplied
to this bus.

The Standby Bus supplies power for the standby
instruments and basic warning circuits.

On the main electric panel are switches for
the Left and Right Utility Buses.

These buses control power for galley items
and also the L and R Recirculation fans.

These switches are left ON for all normal
operations.

You might notice that during a start these
buses turn OFF automatically and then come
back on after the start is completed.

This is an automatic load shed feature and
is completely normal.
